Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a lack of socialization which many people had a hard time adjusting to. It’s hard to see a silver lining but it has shown us that we took socializing for granted, that's why we wanted to create an app that would encourage neighbors to work together and even create social groups.
The challenge
Our University set a challenge for us to create an app that would help bring people together since at the time we had been quarantined at home for 6 months and people were craving to socialize with one another.
Our solution
As a team, we decided to focus our app around the idea of helping each other since the best way to overcome natural disasters is working together.
Our idea was to have an app where people can request help from neighbors. We came up with four main categories in which people frequently need the most help. Our categories were tools, social, questions, and services.
